Death toll in Sumatra earthquakes reached 14 as of Friday morning, Elshinta reported.
The series of powerful earthquakes have also injured 56 people, particularly in the hardest hit provinces of Bengkulu and West Sumatra.
The initial quake that hit the regions on Ramadhan eve on Wednesday, has damaged thousands houses and sent sending people to stay outside in tents, according to teh station.
The station said that although the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency had canceled the tsunami warning and suggested refugees to come back to their houses, they continued to stay outside -- some even headed to higher areas amidst the worry of any possible tsunamis. (**)
